27/11/2008 LIFE INSURANCE - LIFE BONDS IN TRUST DO NOT COUNT AS ASSETS
The family of Georgina Cozens have forced her local authority to refund GBP8,600 of means-tested care home fees they over-charged her. St Helens Council had wrongly counted some funds held in trust, in a surrenderable life assurance bond, as part of Mrs Cozens' assets.
